LEXINGTON (CBS) – An elderly man is expected to survive a crash that sent his car flying off the Route 2 overpass in Lexington.
State Police say the 80-year-old driver from Lincoln somehow lost control and drove off the Route 2 Eastbound overpass, rolled down an embankment, and landed next to the guardrail on Route 128.
He was transported to Leahy Clinic in Burlington with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Two lanes of the highway were shut down while police cleaned up the wreckage.
The exact cause of the crash is being investigated.
