BOSTON (CBS) – A Delta Connection flight heading from Norfolk, Virginia to Boston was forced to divert to New York City on Friday after the crew declared an emergency.
The FAA said flight instrument on Pinnacle Airlines flight 4143 malfunctioned.
According to New York City Aviation officials, the airliner experienced a navigation failure around 3:30 p.m. The plane was able to land safely at JFK International Airport around 3:40 p.m.
The airline was bringing in a mechanic to examine the problem.
It was unclear when and how those passengers would be arriving in Boston.
