Boston Doctors Reattach Maine Boy's Hand After Accident

BOSTON (CBS) – Doctors at Mass General Hospital in Boston are helping a New England boy who was hurt in a freak accident.

They reattached five-year-old Noah Keene's hand after 14 hours of surgery.

Last week, Noah was in a car in Rockland, Maine when he dangled a jump rope wrapped around his wrist out the window.

The rope snagged a passing car and ripped off his hand.

Doctors say it will be months before they know if Noah will be able to move his hand.
