ANDOVER (CBS) – Two Massachusetts State Police troopers were assaulted and injured by two suspects during a traffic stop Friday night.

The incident happened shortly after 9pm on I-93 Southbound in Andover.

Both troopers were transported to Lawrence General Hospital.

Both suspects were taken into custody.

The extent of the officers’ injuries is unknown.
