BOSTON (CBS) – Boston Police arrested a man and woman and charged them with misleading detectives in the murder of a veteran.
Stephen Perez was shot and killed in a Theater District parking garage in April.
Police say a Lynn couple, Luis Sepelveda and Janice Hardy, lied to detectives and to the grand jury investigating the case. They were identified as potential witnesses to the case, and tried to mislead detectives.
“These individuals contributed to the death of Mr. Perez, a decorated veteran who was not given a chance,” said Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis. “They should both do substantial time in prison.”
A Salem man, Peter Castillo, has been indicted on a murder charge. Police do not know the whereabouts of Castillo.
