BOSTON (CBS) – This year marks the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812, sometimes called the “Second War of Independence.” The USS Constitution and her crew fought valiantly in the war, and to the surprise of both the English and the Americans, defeated multiple English warships. U.S. Navy Commander Matthew Bonner, Commanding Officer of the USS Constitution, sits down with Dan to talk about the incredible history of the ship, and upcoming events to celebrate the war’s bicentennial.
