Dan Shaughnessy of the Boston Globe stopped by for his weekly visit with Gresh & Zo to break down the Kevin Youkilis trade.
Youkilis played in Sunday’s game at Fenway Park and was pulled in the seventh after hitting a triple, the last hit he would ever have as a member of the Red Sox. Shaughnessy stated that he would have never made the deal and think that the Sox will need Youkilis.
“I’d have kept him here unhappy. They got a bag of balls for Kevin Youkilis.”
The guys discussed whether the trade will end up being a good deal for the Sox in the long run. They also pick their favorite Youkilis moment from his time here in Boston.
