BRAINTREE (AP) — The Boston Archdiocese has ordained six men into the priesthood, including a surfing enthusiast, a one-time physical therapist and a 62-year-old former public employee.
Boston Cardinal Sean O’Malley led the ordination Mass on Saturday morning.
The men include 62-year-old John Joseph Healy, the former manager of the Brookline Housing Authority.
Matthew Bennett is entering the priesthood after several years working as a physical therapist, in Maryland and Massachusetts.
Another new priest is 31-year-old Eric Francis Cadin, a surfer and Harvard University graduate.
The other men ordained Saturday are Felipe Gonzalez, Adrian Andrzej Milik and Michael Francis Sheehan.
O’Malley said that, with God’s help, the men will serve and strengthen the “Catholic family.”
