Just Missed...

The first blast of Summer heat meant business...the high in Boston today fell one degree shy of the record...97.  The same can be said in Worcester, one degree shy...92.

Tomorrow, with more sizzling heat, they fall.  The highs to beat are 95 in Boston and 91 in Worcester.  Once again the National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for the region tomorrow afternoon so please take it slow and don't overdo it...not that you have a choice when it's this hot anyway.  A coldfront will approach on Friday but it won't get here in time to save us from a third day of touching 90 and therefore a heatwave is likely for most towns in Southern New England.  That approaching coldfront will provide the trigger needed for some thunderstorm development and those storms, while strong, will cool the atmosphere and break the back of the heat for the weekend.

The front itself won't get far on Saturday and because of it, showers are likely to be hanging around in the morning before drier air can work in and still the moisture from the atmosphere.  Sunday looks very nice with a mix of sun and clouds and pleasant temps and humidity around 80.
