BOSTON (CBS) – Although it may seem as though the hockey season just ended, Boston Bruins fans now have a date to circle on their calendars.

The Bruins announced their official seven-game preseason scheduled on Tuesday, along with the starting date of their rookie camp and training camp.

The Bruins rookie camp will begin Friday, September 14, with training camp beginning a week later on September 21.

The B’s begin their preseason schedule just a few days later with a matchup against the team that ended their 2012 season, the Washington Capitals, with an exhibition on Tuesday, September 25 at the Verizon Center.

– Wednesday, September 26

Boston Bruins at Buffalo Sabres (First Niagara Center, Buffalo, NY, 7:00 p.m. ET)

– Saturday, September 29

Boston Bruins vs. Winnipeg Jets (Credit Union Centre, Saskatoon, SK, 9:00 p.m. ET)

– Sunday, September 30
