The crash occurred on the Mass. Ave. Bridge on Monday afternoon.
BOSTON (CBS) – The Mass. Ave Bridge was closed in both directions Monday after a fatal accident.
A 20-year-old motorcyclist was killed in the crash, which also involved a pickup truck and an SUV. The man, identified as Vail Cerullo of Pennsylvania, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash occurred on the Boston side of the bridge, which spans across the Charles River, at around 2:30 p.m.
State Police say the driver of the pickup truck, an 18-year-old Gloucester man, made an “improper turn” in front of Cerullo. The motorcycle hit the pick up truck and Cerullo was then run over by an SUV.
The Mass. Ave bridge was closed for approximately four hours. No charges have been filed.
