BOSTON (CBS) – Jose Canseco, who is considered to be the whistle-blower on baseball’s steroid scandal, says the jury made the right call finding Roger Clemens not guilty.
Canseco never thought Roger used steroids, and in an interview with WBZ-TV’s Steve Burton, he called the trial a “waste of time, a total witch-hunt.”
He also says Clemens should get into the Hall of Fame. “They should induct him right now, ASAP,” says Canseco. “He’s one of the top three greatest pitchers in history.”
Canseco says he would have known if Clemens was using steroids, because, “If he was going to acquire steroids or talk about steroids or have someone contact him to get steroids, it would have been through me and it didn’t happen.”
