BOSTON (CBS) – With Father’s Day coming up on Sunday, Dan Andelman of the Phantom Gourmet takes us to some local barbecue restaurants that are sure to have some dads out there drooling.
The Red-Eyed Pig in West Roxbury is a popular takeout barbecue spot, known for their slow-smoked Babyback ribs and North Carolina style pulled pork.
Firefly’s Bar-B-Que in Framingham and Marlboro has won dozens of national awards for their Saint Louie and sassy-sweet sauce, New Orleans Po’ Boy sandwiches, and real southern comfort food.
Lobster Q in Hampstead, New Hampshire specializes in both barbecue and seafood sometimes on the same plate!
And don’t forget that next Friday through Sunday, championship grilling teams from Texas, Virginia, and even Australia will smoke out Boston’s City Hall Plaza Phantom’s Barbecue Beach Party.
For more food and fun, watch the Phantom Gourmet every Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on myTV 38.
