3 People Seriously Hurt In Billerica Crash

BILLERICA (CBS) – A multi-vehicle crash closed Route 3 Southbound in Billerica during rush hour Thursday evening.

Three people were transported to the Lahey Clinic in Burlington with serious injuries.

State Police say a Ford Explorer driven by a Franklin man crossed the median and crashed into a Toyota Carolla head-on. The Explorer rolled over before coming to a rest.

A Chrysler Town and Country was struck after the initial collision.

The identities of the victims are not being released.
