Heroin seized in Auburn was wrapped in layers of plastic and condiments.
AUBURN (CBS) – A traffic stop in Auburn led to a big heroin bust. On Tuesday morning, State Police stopped a minivan on Route 290 saying the driver was following another vehicle too closely.
The trooper questioned the two men inside the minivan and got suspicious when their answers didn’t add up.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Mark Katic reports
The trooper called in a K-9 unit and a search turned up close to 750 grams of heroin.
The heroin was wrapped in several layers of cellophane, condiments and coffee grounds in the back of the van.
Wilfredy Rodriguez, 32, of Leominster and 22-year-old Kenneth Roque-Olmeda of Puerto Rico were charged with trafficking heroin.
