Gresh & Zo: How Would Youkilis Feel About A Trade?

Gresh & Zo started things off discussing the Boston Red Sox and how they believe that something needs to be done to shake things up.

Zo states that he's tired of waiting for these guys to come back, referring to Carl Crawford and Jacoby Ellsbury. He also points out that he believes that Crawford has gained some weight while on the DL and worries it will affect his legs once he returns.

Many might think a few moves will fix what's ailing this Sox team while others look to just grind it out and hope things fix themselves. Zo has a much more drastic idea.

"I'm almost leaning towards blowing this thing up and go to the rebuilding phase."

One player's name that keeps coming up when the word trade gets mentioned is Kevin Youkilis. Youkilis spent some time on the disabled list this season, with rookie Will Middlebrooks called up to fill the void. He did, and performed very well. Now with Youkilis back from his stint on the DL the Sox have shuffled things around at times to fit both guys in -- moving Adrian Gonzalez to right field, even in AL ballparks -- but everyone knew this would not be the long term solution.

Boston Herald's Michael Silverman sat with Youkilis to ask him about how he'd feel about a trade. The guys break down some of Youk's quotes and find that he mentions a very interesting name.

Is the veteran happy here in Boston? Has Youkilis come out and asked for a trade? Will his relationship with the Sox end badly as it has in the past with other players when they leave town?
