Project Smile Donates Stuffed Animals To State Police

BOSTON (CBS) - On Tuesday, the State Police accepted a donation of stuffed animals from Project Smile.

The toys become tools in the hands of first responders when they drive up on horrible crashes or scenes of violence.

Sometimes there are small children caught in the middle and those stuffed animals work to distract and comfort those little ones.

The goal of Project Smile is to provide all emergency responders throughout New England and eventually throughout the nation, with a continual supply of comfort items to help ease the pain and fear of traumatized children.
