BOSTON (CBS) – Sunday may have ended with the Boston Red Sox getting swept by the Washington Nationals at Fenway Park, but it also had a little bit of history.
With Sunday’s sellout, the Red Sox set a new record for the longest regular season sellout streak in major league sports.
Sunday was the 745th consecutive sellout of Fenway Park, surpassing the previous record of 744 held by the Portland Trailblazers from 1977-1995.
