BOURNE (CBS) – A bicyclist was rushed to the hospital early Monday morning after he was hit by a truck on the Bourne Bridge.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Doug Cope reports.
State police say the unidentified 55-year-old man was riding southbound on Route 28 when he fell off his bike for some unknown reason, around 5:40 a.m.
He was then hit by a tractor-trailer and ended up trapped in the undercarriage of the truck.
Police shut down the bridge for more than a half-an-hour so they could get the man out.
He was taken to the hospital on a MedFlight rescue helicopter. There’s no word yet on his condition.
