CLINTON (CBS) – The body of a missing teen was found behind a supermarket plaza in Clinton on Sunday afternoon.
The body of missing 15-year-old Mackenzie Hohl was found by a Clinton man at around 2 p.m. She had been missing since Friday.
Authorities believe Hohl was walking along the railroad tracks in a wooded area behind the supermarket plaza when she fell 20-30 feet from a wall and landed in a shallow body of water.
People who know the teen said she often used that area to walk to her grandmother’s house.
No foul play is suspected, authorities said.
The Chief Medical Examiner’s office will determine the cause of death.
Grief counselors were made available at the school ahead of a candlelight vigil planned for Sunday night.
