BOSTON (CBS) – A well-known Boston defense attorney has been convicted in a drug money laundering conspiracy.

A jury found 56-year-old Robert George guilty of conspiracy, money laundering, and other charges.

George was convicted on three counts of money laundering, which each carry up to 20 years in prison.

Prosecutors said George and an unidentified co-conspirator laundered $225,000 in drug money between 2009 to 2011.
