Boston Fan Throws Drink At LeBron James After Heat Beat Celtics

BOSTON (CBS) -- It only takes one jerk to make an entire fan base look bad, and Thursday night in Boston, that guy or gal was present at the TD Garden.

Shortly after the Miami Heat beat the Boston Celtics 98-79, behind 45 points from LeBron James, the Heat superstar made his way off the court after doing a postgame interview with ESPN.

As he made his way into the tunnel, a fan threw a beverage toward him. It's unclear what exactly the liquid was, though many outlets reported it to be beer. Fortunately, a black screen was in place to protect the players from such actions, but some of the beverage made its way through and onto James.

James only briefly stopped before continuing on his way to a victorious Heat locker room. He wasn't asked about the incident by reporters.

In addition to his 45 points, James also finished the game with 15 rebounds and five assists.

The series is now tied 3-3, with Game 7 taking place on Saturday night in Miami, where the fans are noticeably friendlier to the Heat when the players make their way off the court.
