Riders Save Passenger After Fall Under Green Line Train
BOSTON (CBS) - Several people helped save a passenger from a frightening accident on the T Thursday afternoon.
The man walked off a Green Line trolley at the Haymarket station just after 12 p.m. , stumbled and suddenly fell beneath the train.
MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo said the man was "intoxicated."
"Preventing a tragedy, customers on the platform alerted the trolley operator of the situation before the train started to move," Peasturo said in an email to WBZ-TV.
The entire incident was recorded on a surveillance video camera.
The man was not hurt, Pesaturo said.
His name was not released.
