QUINCY (CBS) – Quincy residents are considering whether to allow a local company to turn an old quarry in into a destination for zip line tours.

Currently, hikers and rock climbers frequent the Quincy quarries.

Easton resident Al Endriunas has launched Quincy Quarry Canopy Tours with hopes of bringing zip line tours to the area.

“You have two guides with eight guests that will take a two-and-a-half to three hour tour attached via the cable,” Endriunas told WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Karen Twomey.

He points to places like Bretton Woods in New Hampshire and says he thinks the idea is a guaranteed success.

A neighborhood meeting to discuss the project is scheduled for Thursday.
