BOSTON (CBS) – It all began more than 85 years ago in Boston’s North End when Pizzeria Regina fired up their brick oven and began baking some of the best pizzas the world had ever seen.
Straight out of the oven hot and delicious, Regina became the pizza by which all others are measured. And from their humble beginnings, Pizzeria Regina has grown into a restaurant empire.
Today there are almost two dozen Regina locations, including Station Landing in Medford and at the Depot in Allston.
And these days there’s a whole lot more on the menu than just pizza, including a full bar with appetizers, salads, lasagna with meatballs, etc.
For more food and fun, watch the Phantom Gourmet every Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on myTV 38.
