BOSTON (CBS) – A championship ring from a member of the Celtics’ original “Big Three” has sold at auction for more than $45,000.
Retired Boston Celtics great Robert Parish’s 1981 Championship ring was auctioned off online this week by Grey Flannel Auctions.
According to the auction site, the ring is 14 karat gold, weighs 35 grams, and contains a .50-carat round-cut diamond that sits atop a green synthetic stone.
The ring was sold with a letter of authenticity signed by Parish.
It’s unclear why he chose to part with the ring.
