CHELSEA (CBS) – Chelsea Police are investigating the armed robbery of an ice cream truck on Chester Ave. Sunday night.
Police say the suspect, who was armed with a pry bar, forced his way into the truck through the service window and attacked the man inside. The 28-year-old ice cream truck operator suffered minor injuries during the assault.
The suspect, who is described as a thin black man, was able to rob the victim of an undisclosed amount of cash and personal items.
He fled in an awaiting green SUV with tinted windows driven by a second man.
The Chelsea Police Criminal Investigation Division is continuing the investigation.
