Crews arrived to the D Street Housing Development on Linskey-Barry Court before 3 a.m. to find that the fire was confined to a third floor apartment.

Sources told WBZ NewsRadio 1030 that there may have been two separate fires at the apartment.

Richard Halloran, a war veteran in his 60's, and a 52-year-old Diane Bourglas were found dead after the fire. Sources said the woman was found on a couch and the man was discovered in a bed in a separate room.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Arson investigators were at the scene Sunday.

"No determination has yet been made by investigators as to whether the fire was intentionally set or how the deceased died," said Jake Wark, the press secretary for the Suffolk County District Attorney's office, in a statement.

Damage was estimated at $50,000.
