Boston Police: Man's McDonald's Cheeseburger Flip-Out Lands Him In Jail

BOSTON (CBS) - A Roxbury man wound up in jail after allegedly throwing a fit over a cheeseburger on Friday.

Boston police say Friday afternoon, after being alerted by a McDonald's employee, officers witnessed 46-year-old Sheldon McBynum spread across the service counter of the restaurant in Eggleston Square and shouting at workers to "get him a (expletive) cheeseburger!"

Officers say they advised McBynum to leave the restaurant, but he refused, became more belligerent, and attempted to push one of the officers.

At that point, McBynum was arrested on charges of Disorderly Conduct, Trespassing, and Assault on a Police Officer.

Police say he did not end up getting the cheeseburger he reportedly had been yelling about.
