Today will kick-off with clouds, spot showers and storms, and coastal fog. Conditions will improve after ~3pm as we head into the evening hours. Skies will become partly cloudy to partly sunny. High temperatures will reach 70-75F inland, while the coastal communities will top off in the 65-70F range. A cold front will come through tonight which will keep the sky cloudy to mostly cloudy along with patchy fog.
Overall, Memorial Day weekend is looking decent. A stationary front will be bobbing back and forth, which is the reason that we will have a chance of rain here and there this weekend. Saturday is still setting up to be the pick day as the sun will be shining and temps heat up to the middle 80s to near 90F inland…middle 70s to lower 80s coast. (Quick note: Neighborhoods located south of the Pike may start off with more clouds before they erode and the sunshine appears by mid-morning.) Sunday will be mostly cloudy and include a showers and storms in the forecast starting by midday. This will be due to the movement of the warm front/stationary front that tries to rebound northward during the afternoon hours. Highs will reach the middle to upper 70s….65-72F coast. Memorial Day will start off with clouds and a few showers which will eventually lead to some afternoon sun, thanks to some upper level (500H) ridging. Highs will be in the 70s.
