BOSTON (CBS) – The MCBR/MBTA has unveiled a commemorative Gold Star Commuter Rail coach in time for Memorial Day.

The train car is shrink-wrapped with a patriotic image that features 136 gold stars.

Each star contains the name of a soldier, marine, sailor, or airman from Massachusetts who lost his or her life in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The memorial coach will serve as a rolling memorial and the T plans to integrate it into every commuter rail line across the entire MBTA system as a reminder of our fallen heroes and their sacrifice and dedication.
