BOSTON (CBS) – The annual Asparagus Festival is the season’s first reminder of the benefits of buying local: from flavor, freshness and nutrition to supporting local agriculture and open spaces.
The Festival includes:
• a tour of the asparagus field with Steve Verrill
• an asparagus themed lunch prepared in the farm stand kitchen & served outside under tents beside the stand
• tips on preparing and cooking asparagus by Chef Kevin Carey
• a bunch of fresh Verrill Farm asparagus to take home
The event is held Saturday, May 26, at 11 am.
For more into go to Verill Farm’s website.
