BRIDGEWATER (CBS) – Police are investigating the death of an elderly woman found unconscious in her pool Friday evening.

Emergency responders in Bridgewater received a 911 call just after 6 p.m.

When crews arrived at the home on Maura Drive, neighbors were performing CPR on 82-year-old Bridget Gorman.

Gorman was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Investigators say Gorman was discovered by a family member. At the time, she was fully clothed, and in the shallow end of the pool.

The cause of her death is under investigation. Foul play is not suspected.
