WESTON (CBS) – A dog was rescued from a drain pipe in Weston Wednesday afternoon.
Rowdie, a 14-year-old 80-pound chocolate lab squeezed his way into a pipe that drains baseball fields at Burchard Park.
The dog’s owner was at the park and called for help. Animal Control Officer Dick Murray, Water Division employee Dave Donnelly and Director of Recreation Doug McDougall all responded to the scene to help.
Rowdie had crawled 50 feet into the pipe but Donnelly was able to coax him out with treats.
