Red Sox Owners Replace Derek Lowe’s Stolen World Series Ring

BOSTON (CBS) – Red Sox owners John Henry and Tom Werner gave former Red Sox pitcher Derek Lowe a new World Series ring to replace the one that was stolen in April.

Henry and Werner presented Lowe with the ring on Saturday, according to NESN’s Peter Gammons.

According to, a housekeeper told investigators someone had broken into Lowe’s residence on Terabella Way in Fort Myers on April 23.

Lowe’s ring, won with the 2004 World Series-winning Red Sox, and a gold World Series trophy were taken in the robbery. In all, thieves walked away with about $90,000 worth of stuff.

Lowe, who is in town with the Cleveland Indians, beat his former team last Thursday, tossing six innings and allowing just two earned runs. He is 5-1 this season with a 2.47 ERA.
