Red Sox Owners Replace Derek Lowe's Stolen World Series Ring
BOSTON (CBS) - Red Sox owners John Henry and Tom Werner gave former Red Sox pitcher Derek Lowe a new World Series ring to replace the one that was stolen in April.
Henry and Werner presented Lowe with the ring on Saturday, according to NESN's Peter Gammons.
According to News-Press.com, a housekeeper told investigators someone had broken into Lowe's residence on Terabella Way in Fort Myers on April 23.
Lowe's ring, won with the 2004 World Series-winning Red Sox, and a gold World Series trophy were taken in the robbery. In all, thieves walked away with about $90,000 worth of stuff.
Lowe, who is in town with the Cleveland Indians, beat his former team last Thursday, tossing six innings and allowing just two earned runs. He is 5-1 this season with a 2.47 ERA.
