Police originally found a 6-month-old baby in a car seat outside a home in the middle of the road on Lovell Street just before midnight. Officers said the baby did not appear to be injured, but he was transported to the hospital to be evaluated.

When officers located the baby's home, they knocked but received no answer. Then, they heard apparent signs of distress and entered the apartment to find one man dead and two women injured.

"I'm a little shocked, considering it's a nice neighborhood, and it's a nice place. People look out for each other here," said Jason Blair, a neighbor.

The women were taken to a local hospital. The extent of their injuries is not known.

Officers also discovered a loose pit bull inside the home. The dog was taken into custody by Animal Control officers.

No arrests have been made.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
