BOSTON (CBS) – A man who grew up in Cambridge is making an enormous donation to Boston College and Boston College High School.
Pat Cadigan, who worked at his father’s bar to help pay his way through school, moved to California after he graduated. But he never forgot where he came from.
Cadigan, a successful entrepreneur, is donating a total of $27 million to the two schools.
“They taught us whatever you do, do your best and do it with honor. That was very important to me, particularly later in life,” Cadigan told WBZ NewsRadio 1030.
The $12 million gift to BC High is the largest in the school’s history.
