Koppen With Gresh & Zo: "We're Gonna Miss Matt"

Gresh & Zo were down at Gillette Stadium for Monday's show, broadcasting live from Matt Light's retirement press conference.

Light's longtime teammate and Patriots center Dan Koppen was one of the many Patriots in attendance, and stopped by to chat with Gresh & Zo about his now-former teammate.

"It was a lot tougher than I thought it was going to be," said Koppen. "It was a little more emotional than I thought it would be. Just having him say goodbye and knowing he isn't going to be in the locker room day in and day out, it's a tough thing."

"The relationships that we form as a team, as players and friends, that will never say goodbye. But it's tough to say goodbye to him on the field," said Koppen.

Koppen talked about the type of player and leader Light was over the past nine seasons that the duo played together. Although he hasn't really looked back on Light's career - there will be plenty of time for that Koppen said -- there is little doubt he is one of the best of All Time in his position.

"Take a look at the career, it's been amazing. He said it best; 'It's about winning here.' It's winning and developing the winning attitude, and having the right people in place to help that come along. The Patriots have the number-one organization for that," said Koppen.

Also, find out how Koppen is feeling as he comes back from an ankle injury that ended his 2011 season in Week 1.
