89-Year-Old War Veteran From RI Finally Receives Bronze Star

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (CBS) – At long last, A World War II veteran from Pawtucket has finally received a Bronze Star for acts of bravery and merit on the battlefield in Europe.

Leo Beland, 89, received the Bronze Star Monday morning.

Beland was injured during the Normandy campaign in France.
