BOSTON (CBS) – JetBlue Airways has begun offering direct flights from Boston to Dallas-Fort Worth, right into the heart of American Airlines’ operations.

This is the 44th destination JetBlue is offering from Logan Airport.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Anthony Silva reports

JetBlue Vice President Dennis Corrigan tells me that market is fairly under-served, and presents a good opportunity for expanding the airline’s operations from Logan.

Corrigan says while New York will always be JetBlue’s home, he can’t overstate the importance of Logan Airport and the way Boston air travelers have embraced the airline.

Corrigan says he wants to see JetBlue increase its flights from Logan by about 50% over the next few years.
