Jay Talking: Does President Obama's Coolness Impact His Ability To Do His Job Well?

Karl Rove's Super PAC has introduced an anti-Obama commercial that knocks the President for being too "cool?" The idea it attempts to convey is that the President is being consumed by his own coolness while the country falls apart. It is a modern version of the old Emperor "fiddling while Rome burns" chestnut.

The problem is that Americans like cool people. We like celebrity. And in America, an attack commercial that points out an opposing candidate's coolness is a failed, even counterproductive, effort. What was the Rove crew thinking? If this is the best they can come up with then Mitt Romney has no chance of becoming President.

I addressed the topic on Jay Talking Sunday night at 10 pm on WBZ NewsRadio 1030, asking if this gaffe is indicates that President Obama will win another term in office?

In this video I went to the streets to ask a related question 'Do you think it is a bad thing for a U.S. president to be cool?'
