Several current and former New England Patriots participated in National Rebuilding Day.
DORCHESTER (CBS) – Several current and former New England Patriots participated Saturday in Rebuilding Together’s “National Rebuilding Day.”
Patriots DL Ron Brace worked with volunteers to repair a home that suffered damage from winter storms and the 2011 tornado in Springfield.
In Dorchester, former Patriots Paul Francisco, Ilia Jarostchuk, Max Lane, and Bill Matthews along with Beverly Fears, wife of Patriots Running Backs Coach Ivan Fears, worked on the home of a 75-year-old woman on limited income.
The crew painted, installed smoke detectors, and installed a walk-in shower among other needed improvements.
“I think everybody has to take some time out sometimes to give something back to their community,” Jarostchuk told WBZ-TV. “I think it’s just the good and ethical thing to do.”
