MARSHFIELD (CBS) – Marshfield police are trying to solve a mystery that appeared after sunrise Friday morning.

A minivan was stuck in the mud – in Massachusetts Bay.

Police say no one was in the vehicle and there were no rescues.

At this point they have no idea how the van ended up in the water.

The closest road is Foster Avenue and the beach is separated from the nearest neighborhood by rocks and a seawall.
