Felger & Mazz: Patriots Move Up In Draft To Add Defensive Depth

FelgerĀ and Massarotti kicked off Friday discussing the New England Patriots and the results of last nights NFL Draft.

This year that Patriots actually traded up for their first round picks. The Pats traded their 27th pick and their 3rd round pick to the Bengals for Cincinnati’sĀ 21st pick. The Patriots picked Chandler Jones, a defensive end from Syracuse, with that 21st pick.

The Patriots moved up a second time by trading their 31st and their 4th round pick to the Denver for the Broncos 25th pick. With the 25th pick, the Pats picked Alabama linebacker Dont’a Hightower.

How would you grade the Patriots 1st round? Did the Pats solve their defensive depth issue?

How long will it take to know if these picks were good?
