Felger & Mazz: Chandler Jones' Brother UFC Fighter Jon "Bones" Jones
The Patriots traded up for the 21st overall pick in the draft and took defensive end Chandler Jones of Syracuse.
Jones' older brother Jon "Bones" Jones is the current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion.
On December 5, 2009 Jones faced off against fellow light heavyweight prospect Matt Hamill at The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights Finale. Jones was disqualified for the use of multiple illegal elbows.
Jones was initially only penalized a point from the round. However, because Hamill could not continue, Jones was disqualified for these strikes.
Jones broke Hamill's nose and blood started to flow and pool into Hamill's eyes as he lay on his back. *Warning this video contains violence and a good amount of blood.
