The D.A. Show: Backstrom's Suspension From A Washington Perspective
Alan May of Comcast SportsNet Washington joined D.A. to discuss the NHL Playoffs so far.
The two discussed NHL senior vice president of player safety Brendan Shanahan suspending Capitals center Nicklas Backstrom for Game Four for his cross-check to the face of Bruins forward Rich Peverley at the end of Game Three.
May doesn't blame Shanahan for the one game suspension, but feels it shouldn't have been ruled a match penalty by the officials on the ice that night.
D.A. also talks to a caller who believes that the downward spiral of the Red Sox is only good news for the Bruins.
He think the Bruins will be able to grab some more fans as long as they continue to find success in the playoffs.
