Bruins' Krejci Says He Will Play In Game 2

BOSTON (CBS) - Bruins center David Krejci is confident he'll play Saturday against the Capitals after being struck by a pane of glass that dislodged from the partitions during the team's Game 1 celebration.

"I got a little sore neck but other than that I am good and I'll play tomorrow," Krejci told reporters on Friday. "It just kind of hit me from behind and a little sore neck but other than that, I feel good."

After Chris Kelly netted the game-winner in overtime against the Washington Capitals Thursday night, the Bruins gathered behing the Caps goal. After some on-ice celebration, with the loud TD Garden crowd joining in, the glass fell and hit Krejci in the back of the head.

The B's center got right up and eventually made his way to the locker room.

On Friday, Krejci was not present for the beginning of the Bruins practice, with Jordan Caron skating on the first line. GM Peter Chiarelli said last year's playoff leader in points is day-to-day.

Krejci also received stitches above his lip from a cross-check by Capitals forward Jay Beagle, according to the B's center.
