BC Student Found In Chestnut Hill Reservoir Likely Fell In Accidentally

BOSTON (CBS) - The body discovered Wednesday in the Chestnut Hill Reservoir has been positively identified as a Boston College student missing since February.

Franco Garcia's body was found just before 8 a.m. by a man walking his dog. It was about 18 feet from the shore on the Chestnut Hill Avenue side of the reservoir.

Authorities said the 21-year-oldlikely fell into the water accidentally in the early morning hours of Feb. 22, though the cause of his death is not officially known.

Police said Garcia did not have any broken bones or other significant injury and had cash and other belongings with him when his body was found.

Anyone with information about the final hours of Garcia's life is urged to call police.
