BOSTON (CBS) – Zoey is an active, intelligent 10-year-old Caucasian girl who does well academically and can be very sociable with her peers.
She likes cheerleading, gymnastics, playing dress-up, playing with dolls and video games. With her beaming smile and a friendly personality to match, Zoey would make a terrific cheerleader when she gets older.
Zoey is seeking a permanent family in which she would have more opportunities to explore different interests, such as writing and drawing. She has enjoyed participating in a therapeutic horseback riding and horse care program. Currently in the third grade in school, Zoey names math as her favorite subject.
At this time, Zoey is benefiting from the guidance of a team of professionals in addressing her emotional well-being. She is working on maintaining positive relationships and overcoming challenges related to a difficult past.
Legally free for adoption, Zoey would prosper in an adoptive family that could provide her with nurturance, structure and plenty of attention. She would do best in a home with a mother and father or two mothers, without younger children or pets. Zoey’s family will need to work together with the support professionals in her life to help her bond and form healthy relationships.
To learn more about Zoey, and about adoption from foster care, call the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) at 617-54-ADOPT (617-542-3678) or visit www.MAREinc.org. The sooner you call, the sooner a waiting child will have “a permanent place to call HOME.”
