Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone said 43-year-old Todd Vogel shot his wife, 40-year-old Lori Levangie, and then himself at their home on Hayward Street.

"We can't be clear as to the specific motivation, which caused Mr. Vogel to kill his wife and himself. That investigation is ongoing," said Leone.

One of Vogel's co-workers found the bodies this morning and called police just before 9 a.m. It's not clear yet when they were shot.

Leone said Vogel, an electrician in town, and Levangie were married earlier this year. A neighbor told WBZ-TV the couple was married back in November.

A large crowd of neighbors gathered around the home waiting for answers before investigators briefed reporters at an afternoon news conference outside the home.

Leone said they still don't know the circumstances that led to the shooting.

Neighbors said Vogel was a happy guy who was seen just yesterday and that nothing appeared to be wrong.

Police have been called to the home in the past for what authorities described as "disturbances," but nothing like this.

WBZ-TV's Karen Anderson contributed to this report.
